Clear your Tuesday night, fiends. The King does not do quiet entrances, so he is taking his bow twice this week — and the first one is tonight.

Today, Tuesday, November 3, is Godzilla Day — the anniversary of the original Godzilla’s 1954 debut in Japan — and Toho and GKIDS are celebrating the loud way: IMAX early access screenings of Godzilla Minus Zero at select IMAX screens across the US, three nights before the wide opening.

That wide opening lands Friday, November 6, when GKIDS puts the film into North American theaters in IMAX, Dolby Cinema, 4DX, D-BOX and standard screens. Tickets for every format are on sale now — we ran down the full ticket and format details when sales opened earlier this month.

The early IMAX night is the real prize here. Minus Zero is the first Japanese production ever Filmed for IMAX, shot on IMAX-certified cameras with its picture and sound finished for the format — and it arrives carrying an R rating for violent content and bloody images. This is not a polite monster movie.

Takashi Yamazaki returns as director, writer and visual effects lead for this direct sequel to the Oscar-winning Godzilla Minus One, and the early word is thunderous: the film’s October 28 premiere in Los Angeles reportedly drew a standing ovation.

Full specs, trailers and the road here live on our Godzilla Minus Zero (2026) page. See it early, see it loud — and if your local IMAX is not on the early list, Friday is only three sleeps away. Sleep tight, boils and ghouls. The King is already in the water.
