Deathgasm II: Goremageddon Hits VOD Today — One Last Riff Before the Apocalypse

It’s 2:47 in the morning. You’re in a garage that smells like sweat and WD-40, an amp buzzing at the edge of hearing. Somewhere in the next room, your drummer is missing an arm — and that’s the least of tonight’s problems. You pick up the guitar, open the pages of the Black Hymn, and decide tonight’s the night the band gets back together. Every horror hound knows what comes next: the feedback, the blood, the screaming. Raise your horns.
Now — crank the volume, lock the doors, and read on. Eleven years after the original Deathgasm turned a metal band’s jam session into a demon-summoning disaster, the sequel is finally here — and it’s yours to stream starting today.

The Goremageddon Is Nigh
A few years after thwarting the last demon apocalypse, Brodie (Milo Cawthorne) is washed-up, broke, and stuck in small-town purgatory. Then word hits: NoizeQuest, a battle-of-the-bands competition, is coming to town. Redemption? A second chance with Medina (Kimberley Crossman)? There’s just one problem — his drummer is missing an arm, and the rest of his band is dead. (Dead. As in not-available-for-gig dead.)
Lucky for Brodie, he still has pages torn from the Black Hymn. Raising your bandmates from the great beyond is just a riff away. But with every chord comes blood, guts, and the kind of apocalyptic chaos only Deathgasm can unleash.
This one’s been a long time coming, fiends. The sequel’s crowdfunding campaign launched back in September 2023 after years of fans begging writer-director Jason Lei Howden for more. “We made this film for the misfits, the freaks, the outcasts, the headbangers, and the gorehounds,” Howden said — and after a world premiere at Fantastic Fest 2025 plus stops at Sitges, Screamfest, BIFAN, Fantaspoa and a dozen more festivals, the horns-up family finally gets its payoff.
The metal bona fides are real: Trivium frontman Matt Heafy composed the original score, and the soundtrack stacks Skinless, Havok, Bulletbelt, Anvil, GWAR and more. GWAR even has a cameo — and one critic argues it’s the scene that earns the subtitle “Goremageddon.” (Bold claim. You’ll have to judge for yourself.)
The Verdict
Full disclosure, up front, because that’s how we do things here: Harper hasn’t seen this one yet — it’s out today. So no skulls from me yet. Consider this one a date-night dare instead of a verdict: if you survived the 2015 original, today’s the day.
