You feel it before you see it — a tickle at the nape of your neck, eight legs and zero mercy dropping from the ceiling of your own living room. Now multiply that feeling by a few million, lock every door in the building, and swallow the key. Welcome to the Paradiso Palms, fiends.
THE NEWS, STRAIGHT UP: Crawlers (2026) begins its theatrical release in US theaters tomorrow — Friday, October 16 — the spider creature feature from Roadside Attractions and Saban Films.
Turn off the lights, fiends — it’s about to get crawly in here.
Full disclosure, up front: Harper hasn’t seen this one — it isn’t out until tomorrow. This isn’t a review; it’s your opening-weekend survival guide.
Matilda Lutz (Revenge, Rings, Red Sonja) stars as Serena, the manager of the Paradiso Palms, where a catastrophic infestation of venomous, multiplying spiders triggers a police-mandated quarantine lockdown. Trapped inside, the residents fight to survive. Gregg Sulkin, Melina Matthews, William Miller and Chris Rogers co-star; Angel Gomez Hernandez (Don’t Listen) directs and Jayson Rothwell (Polar, Silent Night) writes.
The early word is split right down the middle — Rotten Tomatoes sits near 50/50, Dread Central calls it “terrifying” at 3.5/5, and Starburst tangles it in its own web at 2/5. Expect squirmy practical gore and a committed Lutz. Rated R (violent content, bloody images, brief sexual material, language); a tight 1h 26m. The tagline says the rest: “Skin will crawl.” No post-credits scene — when it’s over, it’s over. UK fiends: October 30.
