Ti West Just Directed Horror’s First Apple Vision Pro Movie — “Remnants” Drops October 16
Official trailer still. © Apple
You’re inside Woldmere Castle. Not looking at it — inside it. The stones are cold under your feet, the candles are guttering, and something just moved in the corner of your eye that your headset swears is really there. You reach out a hand. The castle doesn’t reach back. But something else does.
Volume up, fiends — because horror just grew a new dimension.

- What it is: A “bone chilling” immersive ghost story set inside Woldmere Castle
Here’s the fact, plain as a tombstone: Apple just announced Remnants, billed as the very first immersive horror movie made for the Apple Vision Pro. Ti West — the man behind X and Pearl — wrote and directed it. It’s a 27-minute ghost story that puts you inside the haunted castle rather than in front of it. Lucy Boynton and Ralph Ineson star, and it’s rated PG-13. Apple even dropped an Official Reaction Trailer showing real viewers stepping into Woldmere Castle and coming out rattled, plus a taste of first-person footage.
Full disclosure, up front: nobody at Think Horror owns a Vision Pro (yet), so Harper hasn’t taken the tour herself. But the reaction trailer doesn’t lie — people look genuinely shaken. And West is on a tear: he’s back in theaters this November with Ebenezer, a Paramount horror spin on A Christmas Carol starring Johnny Depp.
Is this the future of horror? Maybe. Is it the most interesting thing Ti West has done since Pearl? Almost certainly. (Immersive haunted houses: 1. Popcorn: 0.)
